Features of Plastic Benches
The plastic bench top is color matched plastic laminate over laminated hardwood core. The long sides of this plastic backless bench has a full 180° soft edge. Sitting is comfortable over longer periods because of the soft edge. Other plastic benches for schools have non-rounded edges making them uncomfortable to use. Each bench has a 150 lbs per linear foot weight capacity. The tops of the plastic locker room benches are 12 inches wide by 1-¾ inches deep. These heavy-duty plastic benches are available in both lengths of 6 feet and 10 feet. Each locker bench comes with steel pedestals. The 6-foot bench comes with 2 pedestals while the 10-foot bench comes with 3 pedestals.
The steel bench pedestals have an overall height of 17-¾ inches. Lyon constructs the pedestal base of 14-gauge steel with 1-5/8 inch tubing uprights. The pedestals make the overall height of the bench 18 inches. Lyon stocks steel pedestals for these plastic locker benches in either our standard Dove Gray or Putty powder coat finishes. The powder coat paint will help protect your steel bench pedestals from every day use. Steel bench pedestals can also come in a powder coat finish to match your lockers.
