Both Lyon bulk storage rack and pallet racking can be used to create an auto parts racking system for your dealership parts department. Bulk storage racks are for hand loading while the pallet racking can hold pallets. If your parts warehouse is big enough to use a forklift, then pallet racking could be a great storage solution. An auto parts rack comes in larger overall dimensions with shelves allowing you to use more of the vertical space in your parts department.
To begin with, we make the uprights out of 14-gauge steel. Then we MIG weld tubular bracing to the bulk storage rack uprights. The industrial rack upright comes fully assembled so it’s ready to use. Lyon designed the upright so that beams can adjusted on 1-1/2″ vertical centers. The heavy-duty metal storage rack upright has slots so that you can easily adjust beams when storage needs change. There are also no “dead spots” in uprights to impede movement of beam along the entire height. Each pair of welded uprights can hold up to 10,000 lbs so they can hold lots of large and bulky replacement parts.
Without a doubt, industrial pallet racks are the most common type of rack found in warehouses. It lets you pick a pallet off the back of a truck and then put it directly onto the rack for safe storage. Quickly store pallets of parts until you are ready to stock the shelves. You can also keep your heavier parts safe. Our pallet rack could easily hold either an engine or transmission no problem. Each pair of pallet rack uprights can hold up to 20,600 lbs. Bulk Storage Racks
Lyon makes the heavy-duty beams of 14-gauge steel. Beam strength and load capacity increase because of our unique “Z” design. We MIG weld the beam clips for added strength. The beam design also resists tipping and eliminates wasted space. The fold in lock tab easily engages so that the beams don’t get displaced. Each end of the beam has 3 studs to engage the heavy-duty metal rack upright holes. We also offer different decking options with our bulk storage racks. Get racks with either wire decking or solid decking. Ribbed decking is also available which helps provide a space to lift bulky boxes. Lyon pallet racking has a strong and smooth finish featuring a state-of-the-art powder coat application process to ensure a finish that is impact as well as corrosion resistant.
