Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and identify accounts with outstanding debts.
  • Contacts delinquent accounts on a regular and timely basis via phone and/or email on a regular and timely basis to resolve delinquencies and advises Lead Credit Analyst of matters requiring special attention.
  • Report collection activity/account receivable status and update account status records and collection efforts for accurate information.
  • Works with customers, dealers, field sales personnel, office and warehouse personnel to resolve a variety of customer and internal inquiries regarding deductions/credits/disputes, such as credit for returned goods, shortages, pricing and other questions related to credit and customer relations matters.
  • Makes a variety of credit judgements on existing accounts within board pre-determined guidelines and advises Lead Credit Analyst of situations requiring special monitoring.
  • Resolve billing and customer credit issues when they arise including investigating historical data.
  • Follow necessary steps to process payments and refunds in a timely manner.
  • Take needed actions to encourage timely debt payments.

  • Achieve management established quotas and perform other specific assignments as directed by the Vice President of Industrial Sales.
  • Develop a yearly sales plan including an account and situation analysis by market. This plan will establish specific objectives to partner with individual distributors, OEM’s and system integrators.
  • Experience selling through a GSA contract and selling into the Federal Government.
  • Experience selling through national distributions, i.e. Grainger, Fastenal, Motion Industries, etc.
  • Expand upon existing distribution, as well as seek new dynamic distribution.
  • Manage time and territory to maximize market penetration and territory coverage.
  • Manage, train and motivate dealer/distributor salespersons to become familiar with Lyon products. These procedures include conducting meetings, both formal and informal, as well as making joint calls with these salespersons.
  • Comfortable traveling 50-75% within territory.
  • Maintain a home office.

Qualifications and Skills

  • College degree or equivalent in business experience or sales experience in a related field.
  • Engineering aptitude is desirable.
  • Minimum of one year of proven business experience and basic computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be physically capable of and willing to drive and maintain their car.
