Lyon’s hanging storage rack is ideal for the storing of long, odd shaped items. The included “S” hooks easily sit on the wire decking. Use them to hang items you can’t store flat on either a rack or shelf. This type of rack is ideal for items like mufflers so it is ideal for an automotive dealership or parts warehouse. We offer these hanging racks for storage with a durable powder coat finish available in Dove Gray. The powder coat paint finish will help protect your bulk rack shelving from everyday use.

WELDED UPRIGHTS

Our hanging storage rack includes two fully welded uprights made of 14-gauge steel. Each upright comes fully assembled and ready to install. These storage rack uprights feature tubular bracing that is MIG welded to the post for added stability. The slots of the uprights provide a quick and easy vertical adjustment of beams to create optimal storage solutions. There are also no “dead spots” in the upright posts to disrupt your placement of beams along the entire height of the post. One pair of hanging steel rack uprights can hold up to 10,000 lbs.

HEAVY-DUTY BEAMS

The hanging storage rack includes six beams to create three levels. Lyon makes the heavy-duty beams of 14-gauge steel. Our unique “Z” beam design increases the strength and load capacity of the the steel beams while also resisting tipping and eliminating wasted space. The MIG welded beam clips give added strength. Each end of the beam has three studs to engage the hanging metal rack upright slots. Easily adjust the beams on 1-1/2-inch vertical centers. Since the beams install without tools it’s easy to adjust your level spacing when your storage needs change. A fold in lock tab easily engages with the post to prevent accidental displacement.

GALVANIZED FLAT WIRE DECKING

This hanging storage rack includes galvanized flat wire decking panels with each level. The 4″ x 2″ wire mesh also includes 5-gauge welded reinforcement wires. The open style of the wires allows for increased visibility for inventory inspection. Using this wire decking also enhances fire safety by allowing more sprinkler access through the levels from top to bottom. The galvanized finish stands up to harsh environments and is ideal for high humidity or salt air areas. These flat wire decking panels rest easily on the step of the beams. The 5/8-inch step of the beams also prevent the decking from sliding. Front-to-back supports under the decking panels help minimize beam rotation when supporting heavy loads. This maintains both the rigidity and stability of your heavy-duty hanging storage.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

While the hanging storage rack ships unassembled, you can assemble it with ease. Lyon strongly recommends that all metal hanging racks be properly anchored. Make sure to install your heavy-duty metal storage racks plumb and level before anchoring them to the floor and/or wall. Use the Bulk Storage Rack Anchoring Foot and Wedge Anchors to anchor your uprights to the floor.
