The closed upright assembly includes all the parts you need for one side of an 8000 series closed shelving unit. Use this item to easily convert an existing add-on unit into a starter or use several to start building your own section of shelving. Replace damaged boltless Shelving Components with ease. Lyon’s 8000 series is ideal for use as either warehouse or commercial steel shelving. Provide the storage capacity you need anywhere with Lyon Industrial Metal Shelving. We offer this 8000 series closed upright assembly with a durable powder coat finish available in Dove Gray. The powder coat paint finish will also help protect your steel uprights from everyday use.

Closed Shelving Upright Assemblies

Each 8000 series closed upright assembly includes the parts needed for one side of a shelving unit. An upright assembly consists of two T-Post Uprights with a spot welded side panel. We make the side panels of 24-gauge steel while the t-post uprights are consist of durable hot-rolled 16-gauge steel. We punch the boltless shelving uprights with 1-1/16-inch long parallel slots. These slots fit our Shelf Clips so you can adjust our industrial Closed Steel Shelving on 1-1/2-inch centers. One of each pair of slots is a keyhole shape so you can bolt on cross braces and other Accessories.

Assembly and Installation

Lyon strongly recommends that your 8000 series closed upright assembly be properly anchored. Make sure to install your uprights plumb and level before anchoring it to the floor and/or wall. Use the Upright-to-Floor Angle and a Concrete Wedge Anchor to anchor your uprights to the floor. Anchoring your shelving helps prevent tipping and allows you to take full advantage of the weight capacities. Be sure to add either a back panel or a cross brace to prevent lateral sway.
