WHAT ARE VERTICAL STORAGE RACKS?

A vertical sheet rack is a rack with dividers to allow you to store items leaning on their side. This is useful if you are trying to store items that can’t rub against each other. Using a vertical metal storage rack can help prevent dents and scratches on bulky items. Keep sheet metal and other material organized and protected. These are ideal for use in either an automotive dealership or parts warehouse that needs to store expensive items vertically such as a car door. They are also great for use as either a bumper storage rack or a fender storage rack.

ANGLE POSTS

We make the uprights for our vertical racks out of 14-gauge steel. Each vertical steel storage rack includes four angle uprights. These posts feature keyhole slots so as to hold the rivet rack beams in place. Steel beams drop into the slots of the uprights to create a sturdy and rigid structure. Upright posts are available in a 96″h size.

DOUBLE RIVET BEAMS

Our vertical storage racks come with 14-gauge medium-duty double rivet beams. This double rivet design creates rigid assembly as well as added strength. The double rivets easily slide into the keyhole slots on the uprights. Each level consists of two width beams coupled with two depth beams. The levels easily adjust on 1-1/2-inch centers. Because of our design, this vertical material rack has an overall weight capacity of 800 lbs per level. Since the beams install without tools it’s easy to adjust your level spacing when your storage needs change.

WIRE DECKING AND DIVIDERS

The Lyon vertical storage racks also include wire decking. We make our flat wire decking out of a 6-gauge wire mesh. The galvanized metal finish will stand up to harsh environments. The dividers included with this vertical sheet storage rack are also wire mesh. You can use the dividers to sub divide each section to create spots for different items. The vertical stock rack dividers also provide a surface to lean items up against.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

While our storage racks ship unassembled, you can put them together with ease. Lyon strongly recommends that all vertical racking be properly anchored. Make sure your vertical material storage racks are installed plumb and level before anchoring them to the floor and/or wall. Use the Rivet Rack Foot Plates and Wedge Anchors to anchor your posts to the floor.
