Lyon’s bulk storage rack starter with particle board decking is ideal for the hand-loading of intermediate weight bulky items. You can use this heavy-duty rack shelf in any number of storage applications. Welded Uprights

Our Bulk Storage Rack starter includes two fully welded uprights made of 14-gauge steel. Each upright comes fully assembled and ready to install. These storage rack Uprights feature tubular bracing that is MIG welded to the post for added stability. The slots of the uprights provide a quick and easy vertical adjustment of beams to create optimal storage solutions. There are also no “dead spots” in the upright posts to disrupt your placement of beams along the entire height of the post. One pair of bulk storage rack uprights can hold up to 10,000 lbs.

Heavy-Duty Beams

Lyon makes the heavy-duty beams of 14-gauge steel. Our unique “Z” beam design increases the strength and load capacity of the the steel Beams while also resisting tipping and eliminating wasted space. The MIG welded beam clips give added strength. Each end of the beam has three studs to engage the heavy-duty metal rack upright slots. Easily adjust the beams on 1-1/2-inch vertical centers. Since the beams install without tools it’s easy to adjust your level spacing when your storage needs change. A fold in lock tab easily engages with the post to prevent accidental displacement. Create even more storage options by adding more Levels with Particle Board Decking to your adjustable metal storage racks.

Particle Board Decking

This bulk storage rack starter includes Particle Board Decking panels with each level. This closed decking creates a smooth, uninterrupted surface while preventing loose items from falling through to the levels below. These 5/8-inch thick decking panels rest easily on the step of the beams. The 5/8-inch step of the beams also prevent the decking from sliding. Front-to-back supports under the decking panels help minimize beam rotation when supporting heavy loads. This maintains both the rigidity and stability of your industrial rack shelving.

Assembly and Installation

The bulk storage rack starter ships unassembled. These heavy-duty metal storage rack sections assemble easily without tools. Use this starter unit either alone or combine it with Add-On Sections to create a long run of industrial steel storage racks. Lyon strongly recommends that all storage racks be properly anchored. Make sure to install your heavy-duty metal storage racks plumb and level before anchoring them to the floor and/or wall. Use the Bulk Storage Rack Anchoring Foot and Wedge Anchors to anchor your uprights to the floor.
