Description

Keep your items organized with Lyon’s metal bin shelving add-on. This steel bin shelving offers an ideal solution for warehouse storage systems needing an assigned location for stored materials. This 3 foot shelving unit features a closed back and sides. You can use this steel shelving unit either against a wall or back-to-back for rows of shelving. Lyon’s 8000 series is ideal for use as either warehouse or commercial metal shelving. We offer our industrial steel shelving with a durable powder coat finish available in Dove Gray. The powder coat paint finish will help protect your steel shelving from everyday use.

Closed Shelving Upright Assemblies

Each metal bin shelving add-on includes one upright assembly. An upright assembly consists of two t-post uprights with a spot welded side panel. We make the side panel of 24-gauge steel while the t-post uprights are made of durable hot-rolled 16-gauge steel. The 24-gauge steel back panel helps prevent lateral sway. Both the side and back panels give this metal shelving unit the support and stability it needs.

Steel Shelves and Dividers

The metal bin shelving add-on includes medium-duty shelves. Our 22-gauge medium-duty shelves provide ideal storage for most small parts and light weight items. The patented box design of our industrial metal shelves provides added strength in both the front and rear of the shelf. The lapped and welded corners provide extra strength and durability. Each shelf also includes four shelf clips. Simply set the clips at the desired height and set your shelves in place. Since the clips install without tools it’s easy to adjust your shelf spacing when your storage needs change.

Each metal bin shelving add-on includes steel dividers. You can also easily adjust the side-to-side spacing of your dividers to customize your storage space. Each shelf is pre-punched to hold dividers with 1-inch-wide spacing. Lyon makes each divider out of 22-gauge steel for a lifetime of maximum durability! Notches on the top also allow the divider to fit snug underneath the box shelf for a sleek look. Keep in mind the height of the steel shelf divider does set the space between your shelves. You can either remove or add Dividers when your storage needs change.

Assembly and Installation

The metal bin shelving add-on ships unassembled. This bin shelving unit assembles easily in the field.

NOTE: This add-on unit must connect with a starter unit.

Lyon strongly recommends that each steel shelving unit be properly anchored. Make sure to install your storage bin shelving system plumb and level before anchoring it to the floor and/or wall. Use the Upright-to-Floor Angle and a Concrete Wedge Anchor to anchor your uprights to the floor. Anchoring your industrial metal shelving helps prevent tipping and allows you to take full advantage of the weight capacities.

Additional and Accessories

Keep your metal bin shelving add-on organized by adding Shelf Bins to keep small loose parts together. Easily add Label Holders to the front of each shelf compartment to ensure items are placed back in their proper spot. This also helps inventory control to see when stock levels are running low.
