Lyon’s record storage rack add-on with 4 levels is an economical solution for a variety of office storage needs. This Rivet Rack Shelving offers storage for up to 40 standard bankers boxes or other document file boxes. These file box racks allow access to your record storage boxes from all sides. The superior look and design of our document storage racks means it can work in the office as well as in a storage facility. We offer these metal boltless racks with a durable powder coat finish available in Dove Gray.

Angle Posts

We make the record storage rack add-on t-post uprights out of 14-gauge steel. Each of our rivet rack shelving add-on sections include two t-post uprights. Use t-posts as intermediate uprights when combining two or more rivet rack sections. When using add-on units to create a longer row, the angle posts of a starter should be on the outer most corners. These 7-foot shelving posts feature keyhole slots so as to hold the rivet rack beams in place. Steel beams drop into the slots of the uprights to create a sturdy and rigid structure.

Double Rivet Beams

Our 14-gauge Medium-Duty Beams feature double rivets. This double rivet design creates rigid assembly as well as added strength. The double rivets easily slide into the keyhole slots on the uprights. Each record storage rack add-on includes the beams necessary to create 4 levels. Each level consists of two width beams coupled with two depth beams. The included front-to-back center supports help minimize beam rotation when supporting heavy loads. The levels easily adjust on 1-1/2-inch centers. Because of our design, these banker box storage racks have an overall weight capacity of 800 lbs per level. Since the beams install without tools it’s easy to adjust your level spacing when your storage needs change.

Particle Board Decking

The Lyon record storage rack add-on can also include Particle Board Decking. Particle board decking is 5/8-inch thick and will be pre-cut to fit your storage rack levels. Particle board decks are a durable and economical option for record storage racks. They are strong enough to handle most general storage applications.

Assembly and Installation

The record storage rack ships unassembled. Our rivet rack sections assemble easily without tools. Lyon strongly recommends that all storage racks be properly anchored. Make sure your metal storage racks are installed plumb and level before anchoring them to the floor and/or wall. Use the Rivet Rack Shelving Foot Plates and Concrete Wedge Anchors to anchor your posts to the floor.
