Lyon’s rivet rack shelving starter is an economical solution for a variety of storage needs. This boltless racking system is a medium-duty rack that is ideal for use in either retail or other commercial use such as an office. This boltless metal rack allows access to items from all sides. The superior look and design of our boltless rivet shelving means it can work in the warehouse as well as on the sales floor. We offer these metal boltless racks with a durable powder coat finish available in Dove Gray.

Angle Posts

We make the rivet rack starter angle uprights out of 14-gauge steel. Each of our Rivet Rack Shelving starter sections include four angle uprights. Angle posts are used on all four corners of a single free standing rack. When using add-on units to create a longer row, the Angle Posts should be on the outer most corners. These 7-foot shelving posts feature keyhole slots so as to hold the rivet rack beams in place. Steel beams drop into the slots of the uprights to create a sturdy and rigid structure.

Double Rivet Beams

Our 14-gauge Medium-Duty Beams feature double rivets. This double rivet design creates rigid assembly as well as added strength. The double rivets easily slide into the keyhole slots on the uprights. Each level consists of two width beams coupled with two depth beams. The levels easily adjust on 1-1/2-inch centers. Since the beams install without tools it’s easy to adjust your level spacing when your storage needs change.

Assembly and Installation

The rivet rack ships unassembled. Our rivet rack sections assemble easily without tools. Use this starter unit either alone or combine it with other boltless rack Add-On Sections to create a long run of commercial storage racks. Lyon strongly recommends that all storage racks be properly anchored. Make sure your metal storage racks are installed plumb and level before anchoring them to the floor and/or wall. Use the Rivet Rack Shelving Foot Plates and Wedge Anchors to anchor your posts to the floor.

Optional Decking

Lyon also offers many decking options for your rivet rack! Particle Board Decking is 5/8-inch thick and will be pre-cut to fit your boltless storage racks. Particle board decks are a durable and economical option for boltless steel racks. They are strong enough to handle most general storage applications. Wire Decking features a 6-gauge 2″ x 4″ wire mesh. These decking panels feature a baked on enamel finish. Wire decking also meets fire code standards for when you require sprinkler access to the levels of a storage rack.
