Open Storage

We make the command open gear locker from heavy-duty steel. The all-welded steel construction helps add strength and durability. The vented sides increase airflow which helps when using these as fire gear lockers. This locker features an open storage design. The main compartment features two 18-gauge hanging rods. The storage is ideal for housing the torso harness, G-suit/G-vest, survival vest as well as other related flying equipment. The open shelf above provides space for a flight helmet. Easily hang lighter gear and items on the 2 side hooks on either side of the locker.

Secured Storage

The command open gear locker includes two lockable compartments. The large lower compartment with a steel recessed handle quickly secures gear and large items. Easily secure the lift handle inside the recessed cup with a user provided padlock. The smaller upper compartment features a standard steel pull handle. These pull handles include a built-in friction catch padlock hasp that can also be secured with a user provided padlock. Personalize each locker by adding a name to the aluminum label holder on the small compartment door. This comes in handy with turnout lockers full of uniforms that look similar such as in the Air Force or a fire department.

Assembly and Installation

The all-welded steel construction of the command open gear locker helps add both strength and durability. This locker ships assembled with all seams and joints welded to create one of our toughest lockers. Simply set the unit in place and it is ready for installation.

Lyon strongly recommends that you anchor your command gear lockers to either the wall or floor or both if possible. Adding Lyon’s Anchoring Angles help prevent Metal Lockers from tipping over when they are top heavy.
